NOVUS Professional Services is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with 10+ years of experience with strong application support skills relating to debugging and incident support.
The preferred location of the candidate is Maryland Heights, MO with Denver, CO being an alternate location.
The successful candidate is an expert in Development Operations (DevOps) engineering. An “automate everything” attitude is needed and desired. Strong application support, debugging ,and incident support skills are required to be successful in the role. The team is responsible for production and ongoing maintenance of the website platform. Strong cloud infrastructure and system administration management experience is expected. The position requires working with teams to identify and repair issues on an as-needed basis. You will need strong communication skills to be effective. At times, the position will be high pressure. Deadlines are tight and are expected to be met. A proactive demeanor and friendly disposition are essential for success.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will work with junior and senior engineers, project managers, executives, as well as administrative assistants, executive assistants, and receptionists. You will work regular weekly business hours, and are not usually responsible for customer/client interaction or supervising junior employees.
The successful candidate will have 10+ years of experience.
You will need experience in leading training sessions (Virtual and in-person)?
The individual is expected to be well spoken, with the ability to lean in-person and virtual training presentations, retrospectives, and debriefing sessions.
Have you demonstrated the ability to explain elaborate processes and architecture to all levels of the organization?
Service Transition Engineer:
Advanced level experience using most or all CI/CD tools:
Experience in a hybrid cloud environment (AWS + Linux/Oracle on-prem)
eCommerce and/or Customer Self-Service ecosystem experience is beneficial
