I was
brought in by The Management Network Group (TMNG) to provide consulting services to their client,
Qwest.
In an effort to maximize the
revenue potential of their existing network and infrastructure, Qwest is looking
to identify and close any revenue leaks that might exist in their
enterprise-wide billing process. We conducted a revenue assurance
audit of the entire Qwest revenue stream to identify actual and potential
revenue leakage.
I analyzed process flows for usage collection, mediation, rating, and billing
across four regions nation-wide and comprising nearly 100 systems. This
included cataloging existing process controls, identifying gaps, and specifying
controls necessary to close those gaps.
We designed a complete enterprise-wide organization, the Revenue Management
Office, that will own responsibility for revenue management throughout the
organization.
I was named project manager
for this effort to guide 2 other senior-level consultants and manage a very
aggressive timeline.
