I worked as a
BUSINESS
ANALYST on a Revenue Tracking
and Allocation project for Iridium. Iridium’s Accounting Department needed
to streamline the process by which accounting information was tracked and
reported to their financial systems.
Based on requirements gathered from subject matter experts in the accounts
receivable group, I created a suite of Excel spreadsheets, comprising templates
for the gateway managers to use for field reporting, an aggregation sheet for
calculations and rollups, and reporting sheets for export to their financial
system. The sheets contained macros to perform reference, consistency, and
completeness checks, and to trigger alarms on out-of-bounds conditions.
